Hi Y'all! Newbie to the forums here

Hi Y’all! I’m Katie from Indiana and I’m glad to be here on the forums! I’ve been a plus member for about 5 months, Boy was I wrong when I told my fiance 'I don’t need to take classes for a simple cutting machine. I should be able to figure this out in no time flat!. :joy::smiley::weary::disappointed::joy::joy: That is about the amount of emotions I went through trying my first project.
Thankfully, my stubborn self went to YouTube and have taught myself how to use the software and the machine pretty well, I think at least. I can work with just about any media and can do everything from woodburn to tshirts, signs are my favorite thing right now.
The pic is my first completed sign. What do ya think? What are your top 5 tips tricks or advice? Have you tried sublimating sister glitter HTV on a wooden sign? I think that is my next project.

Thanks Brittany! I actually did something that I always said I wouldn’t and am taking a paid class especially for design space. I weighed the options and for me it is better to be confident in my skills than spending all day trying to figure out how to do it, and getting side tracked. (My life until about a week ago) lol but I e definitely got the basics down for sure. Obviously I’m using a Circuit, and I actually already enter the drawing, it was official first post.

Oh and I love :two_hearts: :two_hearts: how the HTV like melts into the wood to look like paint. I can’t wait to work on my next project!!

It’s better to be confident in your skills than to do them halfway!

I’d love to see the projects you’re making! Your Halloween sign looks great! :jack_o_lantern:

Thanks a ton! I just noticed in the pic you can’t tell that the tires and the batts are both gun metal HTV so it’s actually shiny and reflective lol

Ohhh that’s really unique and creative! I love it!

There you can see it a little bit better. I definitely need to practice taking photos of my finished products! L so much work, at least it’s fun work!
