Is an iPad necessary for designing?

Hi there, I’m new and I was going through all the amazing things here and I was wondering if an iPad is your go-to design tool-so to speak-or do you use anything else? To be honest I’m on a super tight budget so an Ipad is not something I can afford. Thank you!

Hello there!
You definitely don’t need an iPad to design! Many designers will work in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop!

Not at all.

There are plenty of pieces of software to use besides the large monthly pay suites. CorelDRAW offers a pay as you go and one-time payment option like adobe did oh so many years ago.
Serif Affinity products are becoming very popular they offer Vector and Bitmap software along with layout software, we in the fanbase are hoping for a video suite from them next, to drop Adobe and their pricing structure completely.

There are also many free pieces of software out there Inkscape and GIMP to name two popular ones!
