Is anyone using 3D software?
There is a new version of blender 3D and is open source software so I finally decided to learn it  will take some time before will able to produce something but I was thinking will work great for mockups and objects, in special those type of objects I don’t have access and I can not take photos of it.

I used a little cinema 4D and keyshot before but never got like good with it to be able to do anything I want.

Do you use any 3D software?

I tried my hand at Daz 3D and Blender. They were really fun to play around with, I’d like to see more rendered mockups or 3D render assets, as they seem to be lacking in some areas. I came to terms with the fact I might never understand Daz though, so I settled for learning motion graphics in After Effects.

I use Blender, but not as much as I would like. I follow an awesome tutorial, which they are currently updating for the latest version, on Udemy. Never used a 3D program before but I’ve created a Christmas tree and blue and pink teddy bears. Oh and the Cherry Blossom tree :grinning:. I love 3D but seem to lean towards Low Poly projects, and youtube is full of tutorials. They are fun and colourful to make.

I am trying to learn to use Fusion 360. I have also tried to use Blender, but I have not had much time to sit down and use either one for a while.

I have used Daz3D, Carrara, Poser and Bryce. I used to use them more often than I do now, which is not at all since I bought a new computer (a year ago) as I haven’t yet reinstalled any of the software. It was the render times that were frustrating, but that should improve with my more capable desktop. I mostly used it for casual art purposes, but also making skies and backgrounds. Getting my head around lighting, shaders, and making things realistic has been a challenge.

Good information. Thanks.
