Let's Talk Fonts!

What type of fonts do you look for when you need a font? Or do you just stumble upon new fonts you like?

I am a mix of both. Sometimes I need a specific type of font, other times I am looking through new fonts and font creators that I like and just stumble upon some.

I usually just stumble upon them when I am browsing the newly added products
I tend to purchase mostly fun, playful looking fonts since most of my designs are humorous.

I have a serious font obsession. I love to browse the New Section to find the latest and greatest fonts   When I’m needing a certain font, I’ll spend some time in Suitcase Fusion looking through my collection to see if I can find the perfect font.

stumble, trip headfirst right into the font I buy next.

I follow designers, and also watch the new items posts.

I hang in the WHAT FONT IS THIS? Facebook group to help people find their mystery font, for inspiration, and to find that next font to add to my wish list.
Using the font matchers I often find a font or two to add to my collection, along with seeing many I wished didn’t get made. LOL

Yeah, I too use the font manager to see what I may have first. I’ll use that as basis to check a designer’s new listings. Often enough they have something else I may use.

I tend to get an idea stuck in my head for a specific design or set of designs, I look at how and where the design would be reproduced, then, with those capabilities/limitations in mind, I do my search for the right font(s) to achieve my goals. Sometimes I end up having to create something because I can’t find "just the right " font, though God knows I have enough of them.
Sometimes I see a font that sparks an idea for a design or project, and I build the design around it.

I love fonts! I get ideas from browsing, Facebook groups, Pinterest projects that send me hunting for a specific style. I like some fun and bouncy fonts, but without being too messy. I try to get a variety, sometimes you need cursive to have the same bottom or top alignment. I tend to like the Low Crossbar sans serif fonts as well. Lately an added line or a few dots here and there have been extra appealing. I created one project over Christmas just for an excuse to use Sherman Decorative, lol.

I usually stumble upon them. Love the freebies of the week. Crafting fonts that cut smoothly are my favourites.
