Making a SVG for Scan N Cut in Photoshop

Has anyone made a word art SVG in Photoshop and then tried to use it in the Scan N Cut? I have tried to save my flattened word art as a SVG, but neither my machine nor the Canvas Workspace software recognizes it. I keep getting an error message that says “No objects could be imported” E11005. Do you have any guesses what I’m doing wrong? I’ve tried saving it with and without the background, as rasterized and not rasterized, as flattened and not flattened. Nothing seems to be working. I know I could probably figure this out in Canvas Workspace, but I truly do use PS almost daily so I’d love to figure this out. I’m using PS2021 if that helps. Thanks!

Are you able to export as a transparent PNG and cut the PNG?

Super late reply to this, but did you ever figure this out? I was going to suggest that you convert your text to an object before exporting as SVG (layer → convert to object). This works for just text. Not sure how it will work with word art but might be worth a try.
