I used stencil vinyl by GreenStar and tried to get a messy look to it. It’s weird trying to be imperfect to give it a handmade look.

Hope she likes it.

How have you made the wooden board have this vintage look? You painted it and right after erased the paint with a sponge?

It was a scrap piece of wood I found in our basement.
It was previously painted white.
I sanded it with a belt sander.
Then applied ivory acrylic paint / water mixture, using a paper towel.
Next, I applied black acrylic paint / water mixture using a paper towel.

For the letters I didn’t wait for the paint to dry so I could have a messy look.

I sanded it with a light grit sandpaper.

Awh, Thank you! She hasn’t picked it up yet, but she did say she wanted a different bow pattern. More country style.
