Place your design here

Hi All. Feel I am going nuts trying to teach myself at 54. I am trying to make a mock-up. So I downloaded a tshirt where it says “place your design here”. I watched 2 videos where it says
file
open and place

but then the “place your design here” stays underneath my design that i placed on the tshirt.

What exactly am I not doing?
regards
Christel

It sounds like you may be using a Mockup with smart objects? Can you confirm what program you are using the file in?

What is a smart mockup?

dcae91da5fb2a8e6e5ef58a6e35fa2fe My apologies I had meant to say a mockup with smart objects.

That tool sounds great. I really need to get that Cricut set up …

For the mockups with smart objects you will want to use a program that accepts PSD files as they are usually PSD files.

Photoshop and if you are a Gold Plus Member, DesignScape are great options to use Smart Object Mockups in!

I have Adobe Creative Cloud, so Photoshop is available to me (though I’m more proficient in Illustrator).

Thankfully, Design Bundles has Photoshop tutorials!

We certainly do! If you can’t find what you’re looking for here on the community forum we do have Design School with Photoshop tutorials here: 230b72d1d89ad5a8b242e11ca3abf852
