Please help - windows update made things not work

Hello! My windows just did an update. Prior to the update, my SVG files (when viewing in a folder) would say SVG with a little Firefox symbol. If I tried to open it, of course it opened in Firefox. ( I use Firefox on my Windows Lenovo PC) But I knew it was an SVG because I could see the file type. Now after the update, its shows a Microsoft Edge symbol and of course if I try to open it, it will now open in Edge. HOWEVER it no longer tells me it is an SVG File! And more often than not, I can get them to upload into Design Space. I tried changing to open as Inkscape (See screenshot) But I am still having problems getting them uploaded into DesignSpace. There has to be a way to make it the way it was before. I am so frustrated! Please help before I throw my laptop out the window! How can I get it to show as an SVG while viewing folder contents? How can I make it open in Design Space? Thank you!

Hi there. If you right-click on one of your SVGs and choose OPEN WITH, are you able to select the correct application and tick ALWAYS USE THIS APP TO OPEN SVG FILES? Does it revert back to the incorrect app afterwards?

Yes, it does revert back. Its a bit maddening. :expressionless:

The HTML Document is the SVG file and you should still be able to open it in Design Space

Thats what I thought. But it wasn’t working. Maybe DS was not working properly or something? When I brought the file in, it looked like it was thinking. But then it would go right back to the import screen…
