Plus License question

I’m new here. I purchased the Gold membership. I’m creating some printables to sell on Etsy. I’m confused by the licensing. How much do I have to change the products to be able to sell digital designs? Can I use anything as is? For example, do I have to transform all the clip art into something else (cropping, overlapping, etc)? Or does the POD license allow me to use it as is?

Hello Shani!

Welcome to the forum! Make sure to check out our Start Here guide. We also have some fun things going on this month such as our May Competition to win Plus Credits.

Welcome to being a Gold Plus Member as well!

If you are purchasing products from the Plus Hub with your Plus Credits, the POD license is included in the Gold Membership. What this means is that you can use these Plus Products you’ve purchased as-is to send to a Print On Demand company such as Printful to then create physical products on your behalf.

In order to sell digital designs, you would need to make a significant amount of changes to the product such as altering and modifying the original product. So, to be able to use someone else’s art that you’ve purchased from our site- you do need to use a significant amount of your own artistic skills to

  1. Edit and alter the original image
  2. Add your own text and graphic elements.
  3. Overlap text, graphics elements over original design – to create that new and unique design of your own that in no way competes with the original artists design.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns!
