Saving as SVG trouble

Hello all, I am new here and I’m trying to teach myself to create my own SVG files to sell. I’ve successfully created some designs and have saved them as PNG but anytime I’ve tried saving as SVG or converting to SVG it ends up looking like a web link. Fine for my personal use but I wouldn’t want to share a so-called “SVG” that is actually a web link. Can anyone please make a suggestion? Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

SVGs sometimes show up as a web browsers on PCs, sometimes labeled as a “html document” – here are some guides that might help explain: 34c5cd996efae1b43672b029a9a40018 and bb924d9bca3e5ab8f5d5beb86ddfc688

Thanks, JordynAlisonDesigns! After reading the articles and a little more research, I think I’m going to have to purchase some software so I can properly open and resave my SVGs in a way that I can package and sell. I was hoping to dip my toe into this whole thing with free programs like Canva but I don’t think that’s going to work.
