What Is A Web Font

If you’re a 2fa8183969e4ba2ae93e764258452370 you may have noticed some new Web Fonts added to the a829ae1a6d9b31d0c63d41e655902a4c lately, so I thought I would share the differences.

  • A regular desktop font (left) can be installed to your computer and used in your everyday programs like Word, Adobe Products, Cricut, Silhouette, etc. Font files included are typically .otf and .ttf.

  • A web font (right) can only be used for websites. You will upload this to your website instead of installing to your computer. Font files included are typically .woff or .woff2. You can use some CSS coding to alter the fonts to be the right size and line spacing you want for each font.

When you’re browsing the b0b9dc7e6e1119e56ebbeb96dc16ef3f, please make note of the blue “web font” banner as well as Web Font at the front of the title. If you accidentally purchase the Web Font version please email us at d025164d987739d9b606e49cc34a8194.

If you see a web font that you like, there will be a regular version for you to download. Just search for the name of the font and it will show up  We also have web fonts not in the Plus Hub af63297bbe309932543eab6e127184e7.

Hi Sherry! Welcome to the Forum  I’m happy to be able to help!!

If I downloaded some webfonts with my plus points, not realizing I could never use them, as I have no websites, can I get those refunded? I wish I had seen this sooner. :frowning:

If you’re seeing a Web font in the Plus membership, know that you can search the same name and get the regular font if needed

Thanks! I just started noticing some were labeled as web fonts, but wasn’t sure what that meant. I’ll have to make sure I don’t have any of those saved!

Thanks for clarifying “What a Web Font actually is” and that it is ONLY used on websites. I have bought a few by accident and had no idea what o do with them.
