Creating outlined text in SCAL4

Creating outlined text in SCAL4.

*Note- SCAL4 Pro used.

1- Open SCAL4 software.

2- Type your first letter.

3- Change the font that you would like to use. I am using Uncle Grump from

4- Duplicate the letter 2 times so you have 3 the same.

5- Change the colour of one of the letters. This will make it easier to create the outline.

6-Click on Path - path offset.

7- A new window will appear. Change the size to approx 0.390 inches. Then click OK.

8- You will see that the size of your letter has increased. Select the second letter.

9- Go to Path - path offset.

10- In the path offset size change to 0.190 inches. Click OK.

11- Place the 2nd letter over the first. Select both.

12-  Go to object - alignment - align centers.

13- With both letters still selected, go to Path - back minus front.

14- You now have an outline.

15- Move the third letter inside the middle of the outline.

16-  Select both and right click, select group. You outline letter is finished.

17- Repeat the above steps to create your text.
