Chess Beanie Knit Pattern

Skill Level: Intermediate

This fun and graphic knit beanie is great for any age, boy, girl, man, or woman.

You can use either a solid color or variegated yarn to create the fair isle pattern. This pattern is a great introduction to fair isle crochet since it only uses two colors throughout.

Using the Fair Isle technique this beanie will fit all ages and can be made in all colors. 

Recommended Yarn

100 yards of main color and 70 yards of contrasting yarn in medium worsted weight 

Recommended Needles

4.0mm and 4.5mm 16" circs

4.5 DPNs if needed during decreasing

Finished Measurements (unstretched brim)

Small: 16" circumference

Large: 20" circumference
