This Halloween treat bag template bundle comes as a digital download, therefore no physical item will be sent.
You will receive a zip folder with an SVG file of the bag template, the backing card template and handle template.
files are pre-sized to make the bag 10cm height and 13cm width for the top and 9.5cm width for the bottom (not including handle in the sizing for the height).
This bag/basket is designed for cutting out of cardstock to hold a selection of treats for the Halloween season.
I have test cut this design on a cricut cutting machine and used 220gsm (80lb) cardstock.
Once svg file has been uploaded into your cutting software you’ll need to make a few changes, as an svg file is also known as a cut file, all elements will be changed to cut.
So select the layer from the layers panel to highlight the lines in the middle and change from cut to score and then attach the whole design.
If the design has drawn elements, simply select this layer and change from cut to draw with pen (then attach).
once you’ve cut the bag template (which can be cut from a 12” x 12” sheet of card), and the bag handle and the backing card.
Fold along the scored edges and then glue the tabs to the inside of the side piece, and before securing make sure to put approximately 1 inch of the handle piece in the middle with some glue and then secure them down.
This will ensure that the handle in hidden in between the tabs and the side piece.
Then repeat this stage for the other side.
The handle is completely optional to turn it into a bag. Without the handle they make great nestable trays.
