- In June 2020, Design Bundles introduced a ‘Charity Roulette’ initiative resulting in $11,000 total donations across 11 global Charities by August 2021.
- Each month Design Bundles chooses a team member to select a charity to receive a $1,000 donation. So far, the company has supported mental health, food poverty relief, children’s causes, and more.
Design Bundles' ‘Charity Roulette’ initiative aims to help global causes and strengthen job fulfillment. As the internal team spans numerous countries, a diverse pool of international causes has been supported thus far. Below is an overview.
YANA (You Are Not Alone)
YANA is a Canadian-based charity offering financial support to families with hospitalized children.
YANA was selected by a team member who had previously used the charity’s service four times after a relative was born with a complex heart defect that required surgery and long-term specialist care. They told us:
“YANA is the only reason we could financially cope during these extremely trying times. When your newborn children’s lives are at risk, YANA takes all the financial stress away. We support and appreciate them so much! It’s truly an amazing organization for our town.”
Mind
Mind is a mental health charity in England and Wales, founded in 1946.
Mind was chosen due to a personal connection with the charity and the team member’s family. After a previous loss relating to the struggles Mind was established to help, $1000 was donated to support the charity to continue its essential work.
Mommas House
Mommas House is a charity located in New York, providing a home for young mothers aged 18 to 24 years and their babies.
A member of Design Bundles selected Mommas House as their chosen charity after learning about their work empowering young homeless mothers with the right tools to parent while maintaining family preservation.
Village of Hope Guatemala
Village of Hope is a Guatemalan charity that offers care to adolescent mothers and children who have suffered from neglect and abuse.
A team member selected Village of Hope (VOH General Operations) after they witnessed the very issues the charity was set up to help while on a trip to South America.
