To create your own layered card or shadowbox


Always wanted to make a shadowbox but not sure how ? Or looking for an original DIY project to create a sweet one of a kind Christmas gift ?

I created this cute, easy to follow file to cut and craft your very own shadow box.

This shadowbox only has 4 layers, so it will also be great for beginners.


Materials, what do you need:

- a cutting machine and the software included with the machine (software that can use .svg files )

- cardstock (smooth cardstock with not to many fibers)

- Optional : 3d foam, Double Sided Adhesive foam (or other spacers)

- optional : metal wire small led lights (optional) (with 20 lights)

- photoframe (optional)


Time and some patience :)


Size :

Aprox 8"x8") 

Depth aprox 1,5 cm (depending on the spacers you use)

the file can be scaled to fit your project needs.


On a very small scale the project requires experience with cutting and using a detailed design.

Smaller is not recommended if you don't have experience with small elements in cutting files.


This is a digital download to cut with your own cutting machine.

Tested on a Cricut Maker

(Cricut, Silhouette, other cutting machines and software programs)

Please make sure your machine can cut small details from cardstock.
