WHAT IS PAPER MARBLING?
Paper marbling is a method of aqueous surface design which can produce patterns similar to smooth marble or other stone.
HOW I MADE IT
When creating fantastic textures for this set, I used oil color, diluent and water mixed in the container. Casual patterns on the water surface were then transferred to paper.
POST-PROCESSING: HIGH RESOLUTION WITH OPTIMAL SIZE
All paper marbling textures were scanned with a high-end Epson scanner using 1200 dpi resolution. Then I did a bit of post-processing, including color correction. Small image artifacts were retouched.
After that, all images were scaled to 4000-5000 px on the larger side (smaller side varies) and 300 dpi resolution. Using this method, I achieved excellent quality without blowing the file size up.
