📌FABRIC SUGGESTIONS:

Use a medium-weight, four-way stretch knit fabric with 25 to 50 percent horizontal and vertical stretch (here) and good recovery.

French terry, sweatshirt knit and ponte are good choices.

Lining fabric for pockets: cotton jersey.

For cuff: rib fabric

📌SUPPLIES:

Matching color threads

1 1/4 yard (114 m) of 13/4-inch (4.5-cm)-wide elastic

Two 3/8 inch (1-cm) (inside diameter) grommets/eyelets with the corresponding tool for installation.

3/8 yard (0.34 m) of 3/8-inch (1-cm)- or ½-inch (1.25-cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape; you can also cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain.

2 piece of 1 x 1–inch (2.5 x 2.5–cm) lightweight woven or weft insertion fusible interfacing.

¼-inch (6-mm)-wide drawstring cord or ribbon as long as your waist, plus 20 inches (50 cm).
