CVC Short A & E Game

These are great games for your children to practice reading consonant - vowel - consonant (CVC) words. These two games are CVC words that have “short a” and “short e” sounds. 

Gather a a friend, a die, and game pieces of your choice, such as candy, pieces of paper, or even little toys.

Place your game pieces on the “START” square. The first player rolls the die and goes that many spaces. The player reads the word or follows the directions on the space. 

Since reading is the key to this game, players can work together to read the words correctly.

The first player to the “FINISH” square ~ WINS!!
