Do your children like to paint, but you don’t like the mess? Here’s your answer! Pretend painting!
Give each child a copy of the worksheets printed back-to-back on cardstock. They (or you) can cut the painter’s palette along with the circle that says “cut”. This is the hole for their thumb to go through, so they can hold it. You can also print the pages separately and attach them to thin cardboard for durability.
On one side of the worksheet, the children can color in the shapes matching the color words. For fun, you might want them to actually paint the shapes.
Once they are done coloring in the shapes, hand them a dry paint brush and let them go around the room ”painting” different items the colors that are on their palette.
On the other side of the worksheet, they can write or dictate what items they found that were the colors.
