I had a blast playing with this super fun paper project! I had no idea when I was designing it, that we'd be able to do so many different things with it. First, I thought I'd do all of these page inserts, as they are shown in the examples. Then I thought you could totally use the pocket to store recipe cards or garden notes. It can all be done interchangeably, right? Then I thought, it would be super cute to print the peach pocket and heart on another paper, cut them out and adhere them as shown for extra dimension and a kind of paper piecing project. Another idea came to mind! Can you believe it? Hehehe...If you use the layered template and delete the "ruffles" around the apron or merged those two layers and turn the album to the left, you'd get another completely different kind of album. One with a scalloped edge. They make neat page inserts.
So, you can totally use this template in a variety of ways. I just love that! Take a look at the gallery and see some more ideas. I took some ribbon from a shirt (You know, the ribbon they use to hang the garment.)and used it two different ways. One way was to hang it. As you can see in one of the images. The other was to adhere it across the back of the cover to make it look like real apron strings. You can also see this example in the gallery.
Yet another idea and I did provide a template for it as well and that's a card. You have to use rigid paper or it won't stand up nicely. You could add a bunch of inserts and use that as your album if you prefer. Always check your printer settings and if you want a more crisp, true to color result use slightly glossy or glossy paper. This would make a fun Mother's Day gift. Don'cha think?
In this download, you will receive the cover, four colored insert pages, the card template and five recipe cards. Everything comes in png and jpg format. I've even included a psd version of the cover/apron design so you can customize it to perfection. It's about 7 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches high. Go bigger or smaller if you like.
This mini scrapbook/recipe book/card/garden journal coordinates with the Garden Glory Collection found in Plus.
