We're back with more fabulous large and even huge flower templates. Like all of our other Large Flower Templates, these can be used both digitally and traditionally. The example shown is just one way to use this template. There are several other kinds of flowers you can make. You'll be able to customize this huge flower template because it is available in png and psd formats. The only thing holding you back might be the size of your printer. Hehehe...
If you want a really huge flower, size the largest petal as large as your printer will allow. The png provided will just fit (width wise) on a standard sized piece of paper and will go through your printer no problemo. It is 6.8x7.6 inches. As you can see by our images there are 5 different sizes. You can choose as many layers as you like. You can lay the petals flat as shown OR you can make a cut at the base of each petal, about an inch or so in and then gently overlap your cut to form a gently curve in your petal. This will give your flower more lift and dimension.
You can choose to print out each layer or petal as is presented and then trace around the paper of your choice or clip in a design paper in your software and then print out each petal. Pictured, are 5 petals per layer, but you can do more if you please. I'd play around with all of the different manners of construction and mix it up or try them all.
There is a circle provided in the download. This may need to be altered depending on how large or small you go with your paper flower. You may use it as a base for your petals by gluing or adhering each petal to the base. You may also use it as shown and apply it to the center, top of your flower. Of course, you can add any kind of center you like. Consider a large button, another larger paper flower...
The illustration shows petals that were run through a crimper. That's just yet another way that you can play with this template.
You can also digitally zip up this flower by adding a folded style down the middle of each petal and build it digitally as you would traditionally. Cool, right?
