Y'all, I am crazy about these galaxy photo spots. As an avid scrapbooker, I need frames all of the time and as a scrapper that's been at this for decades, I want something different at times. I think I may have nailed it on the head with these outer space, alcohol ink frame designs. Once I designed them, I put them on all kinds of projects and loved all of the results. My scrapbooking page took me under five minutes to scrap and I couldn't love it more. I grabbed one of our blue galaxy papers, slapped in my star frame cluster, cropped in my lovely son, added a grunge edge (also found in Plus) and clipped in a pink galaxy paper around the edge for some balance and contrast. Since I've shadowed the clusters, you don't even have to spend time doing that. It's one thing when you can scrap fast, but a whole other thing when you scrap quickly and beautifully, right?
I also used another pack of frame designs from the galaxy collection on a sippy wine tumble and it looked so darn cool. I want to try it on a tumbler, too. Did you see the beautiful sublimation design on the black tote? OMG! Ooh! That design would make a great tablet cover. I have to remember that! Hehehe...
In this download, you will receive 4 galaxy frame photo spots with gold glittery accents. There are clipped in shadows on the top layers, but not on the bottom. So you can add some shadows there, but I wouldn't. I used really dark and dramatic shadows. They remind of me of space and provide great contrast with the design. The frames are png only.
Peruse Plus for more galaxy designs and design out of this world creations.
Tip: To save you more time, here is a tip on how to efficiently crop a photo into a star. It mightn't be as easy as you think! For the best results, choose a photo with a lot of background around the main image you want to frame. I also preferred a photo that wasn't too busy. Look at my example with my son. The background is just basically green and there was a lot of it. So, I could just squeeze him right in there. If you're going for a photo with two people, again, make sure there is a lot of background, that the background isn't too busy and be sure that the two people are very close together.
Happy scrapping with our super fun photo spot frames!
