If you are a crafter who loves fast, easy and super cute projects then you are going to love this adorable pocket card from the Meow-A-Ween Collection in Plus. We do have easier projects in Plus, I still might just categorize this Halloween paper project in the "Easy" category. I want to walk you through the process in this description as well as in our little gallery with pictures. I just love the result and you will, too!
First, after you download, you need to print out the three sheets. You will make this project so much easier when you print back to back. Especially, the base of the pocket. The black base should be backed by the green base. So if you were to hold your printable up to the light, it would be exactly lined up front and back. Now, it really isn't a huge deal if you can't manage this and I've done mine as if you can't so I can show you what to do in case this is the case. Regular printer paper works just fine for this project. However, a slightly glossy paper usually renders a better image.
When you can print back to back, you'r project won't be as bulky. There won't be any or at least very little white on the edges. You won't get bubbling from the adhesive either. A super cool result is the insert card. You'll be able to turn that into a mini book for photos. You might also want to consider turning this into an invitation for a Halloween party. You can easily add all of the information needed on the back of the card or you can have the card open with the information inside of that.
Speaking of card usage, I've included 2 different versions of the card insert. One says, Happy Meow-A-Ween" and the other says, "You're Invited". This way you can use it as an invitation or as a greeting card or tag. If one of your shapes is larger than the other for the base, just trim it as necessary. That goes for the whole project. I had to trim the bottom flap just a touch and I found that I got a better result when I put the card on top of the pocket base and folded the base around the card and then glued.
Peruse through the gallery for tips and the step by step process to assemble this fun Halloween project.
