Crossing the Red Sea is an episode in the Bible's story of The Exodus.

In the Book of Exodus, the Israelites escaped from the pursuing Egyptians led by Moses. [2] God parted the Yam Suph (Reed Sea) with the help of his staff. Israelites cross the sea on dry ground, followed by the Egyptian army. Moses drops his staff once the Israelites have safely crossed, closing the sea and drowning the Egyptians pursuing them.
