Book Ads Template - Create Book Ads for Social Media

This is a simple .PSD file template that enables you to quickly and easily create book ads for social media. It works from Photoshop CS5 up to the latest version of Photoshop. (I don't have older versions of Photoshop so I can't speak for those).

The template enables you to add in a cover image and enter the text you need. There are different layer options for different text colours (black, white and in the case of the heading, gold) or you can change it manually to one of your choice.

I used a free font when I created the template, and you can either use fonts of your own in its place or download the free font (a link is included in a text file that accompanies the template). You'll need to restart Photoshop once it's installed so it'll show up in the font list.

The images produced are relatively small at 587x350px / 300PPI. However, that's intentional because it's an image size that would suit advertising on social media including Facebook (groups) and Twitter, without the file being unduly large. When you've created your book ad, simply save the file as a .JPG (you might also wish to save the .PSD) and you're ready to go.This is the same size I've used for many of my own book ads.

It's easy to switch between the layers for the backgrounds and alter different elements of the design. However, it's set up to create ads very simply and quickly. If you don't want a particular element, you only need to switch off the layer. You insert an image of your book cover on the layer entitled 'Insert Cover Here' and resize it to fit inside the e-reader frame.
