This listing is for a digital download, no physical item will be sent to you.
This box template comes as an SVG and PNG file. You will also receive PDF instructions to help you resize and change score lines in cricut design space and a PDF assembly instruction sheet to help guide you to make it if you’re a beginner.
(PLEASE NOTE: this listing is for a box template ONLY, you will not receive files for the money card holder in the photo, this is purely for illustrative purposes- file for the card can be purchased separately).
You will receive the files for box lid and base together and the box lid and base separately.
Upload the SVG files to your cutting software and follow the PDF instructions on resizing (the size uploaded isn’t the size you cut at, you will need to change this).
Next, you will need to make some basic changes, as an SVG file is also known as a ‘cut file’, and therefore changes all the layers to ‘cut’.
You will need to change the inner lines to ‘score’.
To do this, simply click ‘ungroup’ and then from the layers panel click on the layer which highlights the inner lines and change from ‘basic cut’ to ‘score’.
Then highlight both layers and click attach.
You will need to do this for both the lid and the base.
I recommend a heavy card is used for the box (250gsm+) so it keeps nice and sturdy.
I’ve test cut on a cricut cutting machine using 250gsm patterned cardstock and cut on heavy cardstock at default pressure and used the scoring stylus for the score lines.
This template was cut to fit a 4”x5” card and fits a standard 12x12inch cutting mat.
The height of the box comes to 1”, which clears any raised pieces on the money card (such as the raised pieces of card, or the plastic lip balm wraps used for print and cut versions of the money holders).
Once cut, fold along the score lines and you will see where you will need to glue the tabs to fit inside the folded sides.
Make sure you line them up nice and square to the corners so you have a nicely square card box.
You will now have a lid and a base for your card to sit in.
