Creating a water tracker bottle is quick and easy! Have you set a goal to drink more water, but need a better way to track it? This DIY is so quick and all you need to do is add a vinyl decal to your bottle, so you can track your progress.
Follow along as I show you how to create a water bottle tracker on a standard 30ml bottle.
Before getting started, you'll want to purchase and download your water tracker SVG or use one that you already have. Don't forget to unzip the folder! For this tutorial, I am using the cactus design included in this Water Bottle Tracker SVG Bundle. This bundle has the front and back designs in separate files, however, they are all clearly labeled and sorted.

Let's get started with the steps and make our own fun water tracker bottles! Follow along with me, and in just a few minutes you'll have a fantastic new water bottle.
Once your program has loaded, you'll need to click on the "Upload" icon, found in the lower-left toolbar.
Now you need to tell Cricut Design Space which design you'll be working with. Unless you have already uploaded your SVG, you'll follow this step. See the image below for where to find these areas in Cricut Design Space if you aren't familiar with their location.
Your design will be in the unzipped folder you purchased. Inside the SVG folder, click on Front Designs, and then "07-Front-Cactus.
You can either open the folder your SVG is in from your computer, or choose the "drag and drop" option. Either way, will make your SVG accessible within the software.
Using a ruler, measure the area on your bottle where you would like to place the decal. My bottle can fit a 7-inch decal, so let's resize the image to be 7 inches tall. You can either click and drag the image from the arrows or change the height to 7. If your water bottle is a different size, make sure you edit your design to fit accordingly.
Repeat Steps 1-5 but upload the back of your image. (SVG -> Back Designs -> 07-Back-Cactus)
Once you have both images sized to 7 inches, it should look something like the photo below. Go ahead and highlight both images and then press "Attach". You can check this action in the layer panel above.
Click "Make It". Don't forget to make sure that "Mirror" is turned off, and then press continue.
Follow the next few steps on your screen to load and cut your vinyl with the Cricut. Your base material should be set to Vinyl.
Weed your images and cut them into two separate pieces.
Apply transfer sheet to the front design. Use your scraper to secure the vinyl to the sheet. Remove the sheet carefully.
Apply transfer sheet with the vinyl image to your bottle. Use the scraper to push the vinyl down onto the bottle. Remove the sheet carefully.
Repeat the previous steps for the back. You can use the same transfer sheet to save product and time.
Now admire your efforts and that awesome water tracker bottle you've just created! Such a simple and fun craft project that anyone can do. These are great for keeping yourself to track your water consumption, or as a gift for friends and family! Since you can find some gorgeous water bottles, and even more beautiful adhesive vinyl, the combinations are endless. Plus, with so many awesome or funny water tracker SVG designs to pick from, you can create them for every occasion or need!
