Seller Spotlight: Bella B Studio

Tamara’s designs caught our eye after we saw her amazing Mega Sublimation Bundle, Sublimation Starter Bundle trending in the sublimation category. There are so many unique products in the bundle that would be perfect for someone just getting started with subbing or a seasoned pro!

Read on to discover Tamara’s creative process, top tips for other sellers, future goals, and proudest achievement as a Design Bundles seller.

Hey Tamara! Could you tell us a bit about yourself?

Hello everyone! I’m Tamara, and I run Bella B Studio! I live in a little town in Ontario, Canada! Designing has become my full-time gig;I mostly sell Sublimation designs here on Design Bundles, but I have a long history with SVG files as well. I have also dabbled a bit in Digital Papers and Mockups!

I am a stay-at-home wife and Mama to 3 boys. I discovered SVGs about 5 years ago when my middle was born, I was home, and he slept all the time, and I was bored! I always loved woodworking and rustic things, and I got into making Wood Signs... and quickly fell in love with designing them! When the last boy came along, I had to quit… he never wanted to sleep!

So I took it as my chance to focus on designing. I knew I had 18 months to make this full-time or go back to a 9-5 job that would barely cover the daycare expenses! So I hustled my way through and created an amazing customer base and business partners! I didn’t go back to my real job, and I’ve been doing this ever since!

What is your favorite product to design, and how did you discover it as a niche?

My favorite product would definitely be any and all Sublimation Designs. I love doing SVGs, but when I was introduced to Sublimation, I knew it was my calling, and I made it my mission to know everything…all the pretty colors and textures, the options are endless! You can really bring your ideas to life.

How would you describe your style?

I think I have a range of different styles, but I mostly stick with the Classy Vintage/Retro Vibe… I love texture and grunge! I find it hard to do the pretty & cutesy designs, and I feel I cannot release a new design unless it has some texture added to it!

What does a typical day look like for you behind the scenes?

Ahh! Not so typical! As my boys get older, they get busier! From day one, I made it a habit to work early mornings, then I can spend the day with them!

I get up at 5 am every day to work. It is the only time I will have to myself, and I’m so full of ideas first thing! I work for a few hours and then get the kids up for the day. Pre Covid our life was different with school and everyday things, but as of now, we are all still home, and kids do schooling online. We work away on that for the rest of the morning then lunch, and have “quiet time” after that, the little one still naps, so the others get some time to relax, and most times I will sneak in an hour to work, reply to messages, social posts, etc. We play for the rest of the day, then dinner!

I rarely ever work at night unless it's an emergency issue with a customer. We cherish our family time together!

What is your designing tool (or tools) of choice?

Photoshop! Most definitely. I also use Illustrator and at the moment trying to self-teach Procreate!

What’s your best-selling item?

That would be The Sublimation Starter Bundle! I’m so thrilled that everyone is loving the bundle! I had this one in mind for a long time. I planned it out meticulously, hoping it would meet a wide range of customers’ needs all-in-one! From the beginner to the pro… everyone could use something inside it!

What's something you wish you knew when you started designing? 

Probably that it's okay to feel discouraged at times. We all get in a “slump,” and that is okay. Usually, when this happens to me, it’s my body's way of telling me You Need A Break!! And also that all the amazing people you’re going to meet along the way will help you through!



What tips do you have for any new designers wanting to start selling?

Don’t be so hard on yourself. We are very quick to be critical of ourselves and our own work; just remember to praise yourself too!And just like above, it’s OKAY to get discouraged. As a beginner,Sometimes we feed ourselves with so much information that it can get overwhelming, but patience is key. You truly can’t rush these things. There is so much to know, and it will come in time.

The same goes for sales; making a passive income looks easy from the outside, but it also doesn’t happen overnight!

There will be many times of trial and error! Just keep pushing through! :)

What is your proudest achievement since opening your Design Bundles shop? And where can we find you online?

I count everything as a great achievement! I don’t think I could favor one over another. Being chosen for a Bundle or a $1 Event … the feeling of accomplishment doesn’t subside!
