Plants are drawn without gradients, so the files weigh much less than they would weigh with gradients at such detail. Their main advantage is that the vector format has no scaling restrictions. I draw my botanical illustrations by hand on a screen tablet, this allows me to draw the flowers as I would draw them on paper. Plant references, most of the time I do them myself by photographing them in Botanical Gardens or just around town.

One more important fact. I live in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. As you know, we were attacked by Russia, and now I live and work under military conditions (rocket attacks, artillery shells and missiles hitting houses, lack of electricity, all this has really happened to me all these months and is still happening) This project is a small part of a big charity project, which you can read about here
