Glowforge Farmhouse Sign with "Frame"

This Glowforge ready design features two layers. You can cut big or small for a tiered tray. Features "faux" mitering on the corners that are engraved to give the "frame" appearance.

I tested the design using 1/8" birchwood and I cut around 10" long.

Cut the design and engrave the lines on the corners.

TIPS: This design is more complex due to the script inside of the large letters. I would not recommend cutting really small unless you are experienced with this type of design.

First stain or paint the backing and the "mitered" frame piece. Once dry glue together. For those who have never done a design like this before what I do is keep the piece of wood that the letters are cut from. Then after painting I will place the letters back inside the piece of wood like a puzzle. I then will take a piece of painters tape and apply on top of the letters. Afterwards I carefully lift the letters with the painters tape and turn them over and apply glue to all the pieces. Then I carefully put the letters back inside the wooden piece and then put inside the frame. Once glue has set you can use the painters tape to help lift the large wood piece out and then you have your sign!
