Summer Emergent Readers

Get your little reader reading with these Summer-themed emergent readers! These emergent readers were created by a teacher. They follow a predictable format to help beginning readers focus on decoding unknown words and build confidence as they read the repetitive text. Grade-appropriate sight words (words that need to be memorized because they do not follow typical phonics patterns) are also included to provide authentic experiences with these common words. Six readers are included. Just print, cut, staple on the side and read! These readers include black and white clip art and are meant to be colored. The following readers are included:

• Summer Camping

• The Beach

• All About My Mom

• All About My Dad

• Things to Do in Summer

• Summer Bugs

Books are doubled up on each page to save paper. Enjoy!
