Geography Activity 3 The United States

Geography is such a fun subject. There is so much to talk about and discuss when it comes to the world or even just where you live. Teach the exact location of all 50 states with the given map. For further practice, teach the proper spelling and punctuation of each state and the abbreviation of each state. Students may write in the abbreviations on the map or spell them out if preferred. Some students may want to color each state if time permits. A key has been provided for the activities.

A blank map has also been provided to challenge and or quiz students. Be sure to talk about the names and spelling of states and capitals. Make sure that if you do live in the states, the student(s) knows how to locate that state and perhaps even the city in which they reside on the map. It could be extra credit or a bonus.
