Broken Hearts Contractions

These worksheets are a great way to have some fun with Valentine’s Day, while practicing contractions!

You will want to print these out on two separate pieces of paper, instead of back-to-back, since one page is for cutting.

Print enough copies for each of your children. They will cut out the hearts that are whole – not the broken hearts. They will then match up the contraction to the two words that it stands for.

You can also have them do it the other way, by cutting out the broken hearts and matching them.

These would make for a great file folder game or center activity!
