Exploding box cards are super popular and so much fun to design and assemble. This exploding box card is really easy, too. Download, print, cut and assemble the layers in mere minutes. You could scrapbook some more elements or even add photos to the layers. Scrapbook this card digitally or hybrid style! Use the box as a mini album, card or add a small gift to the center.
In this download, you will receive two different bottom layers to choose from. One with a blue sky and clouds and the other with a super springy yellow, plaid and daffodil design. Then four more layers. There are three cross shaped, insert layers and then the top or lid of the box. Each layer is provided on an 8x11 inch page and in formats png and jpg.
I always recommend doing a print test before printing out all of the layers. Watch those printer settings and consider the right kind of paper. Shown is regular printer paper. You may prefer a more rigid paper or even one with a touch of gloss for a crisper color. Be careful as your folding that the ink doesn't come off. If you repeatedly crease hard, you might lose some color. Try a gentle fold. The corners often need a bit more pressure. I did add a chunky outline. This was for jpg users to help differentiate the outline with the background. If you have issues getting the lid to fit properly, either increase the size of the lid or cut further into the background design for a better fit.
