Crafters and printable lovers, you are going to love, love, love this super fun paper project for Halloween. As many of our other printable crafts, this one is scary easy. My son (for the first time) saw the printable and watched my test run and wanted to put it together himself and he did. I used his version for the photo you see. I just love these colors and though the look is rather mature or grownup, the colors are very youthful. I've given the overall project tons of texture, as usual. This time I did leave a heavy outline because...well...it just looked awesome. I also gave the numbers a low, but intense shadow for a sweet dimensional look.
Simply print out the three 8x11 inch, jpg sheets, cut all around the outside and then fold on the lines. I always advise to do a soft fold, see how the elements are constructed and when ya have the folds just right, push or pinch them a bit harder and then adhere. This will give you a more precise and crisp result. You can use regular printer paper, but I'd suggest a more rigid paper for durability. You'll have to make two extra cuts in the base. See the photos provided in our little gallery.
There is a podium provided for the blocks. I thought perhaps, you could put in little nifty gifties or sweet treats? You don't need the bottom box base. I thought it was pretty cool, though. If you don't put anything in the base, you might have to fold over the flap a little sooner or further back. Depending on how you put the box together. I really like the box when I turned it upside down so I provided a sticker in case you like it better this way, too. Of course, you won't be able to put anything in it when it's turned upside down.
We've got other Countdown to Halloween designs in Plus. Check them out and craft happy with Plus.
