This is my fourth countdown to Halloween project. I've always wanted to try this out and it was a super learning experience and a lot easier than I thought. Shoo wee...hehehe...I think overall, the project is fairly easy. Ya just have to be a bit careful cutting along the lines around the doors and windows. Otherwise, it's super simple. Behind each shutter and the door, you'll find a cute Halloween character or item and how many days are left until Halloween. It's for 7 days. Start at the top and go left to right, ending with the big, front door. You could replace our images with small Halloween photos. Peruse our tutorial for tips and tricks that'll save you time.
We've got a pictorial for ya in case you need some assistance. All ya really have to do is print the three printable jpg pages. Print the purple paper back to back with the black haunted house printout and it will save you a whole lot of time and hassle. You'll definitely want to print on rigid paper or the cutting might be a nightmare, unless you take your time and perhaps use some fussy cutters if necessary. I did the project the hard way. If anyone wanted to reinforce the project with coordinating card stock, you can follow the tutorial. The only small issue I had was the printable released from the card stock when I opened the doors, but I just used more glue and it came out ok. If your paper buckles or you just don't like the way it looks when you open the doors, simply leave the second layer off or cut a piece of card stock to fit the inside of the door. Easy enough, right? Take your time around the windows. There is not a lot of room for error. My exacto knife worked like a charm.
In this download, you will receive 3 jpg, 8x11 inch printable sheets. Watch those printer settings. You don't need any fancy supplies. Adhesive, scissors and something like an exacto knife to cut around the doors and windows of the haunted house. I used a glue stick which was perfect.
