I would recommend a technique called "reverse weeding" for the smaller letters if using a cutting machine. (See close up for view of letters)

Shown on a round sign, square sign and pillow. Great for many applications!

Round Sign Making Instructions:

Tip: To make round signs create a circle the size of your sign in your program. Add the design and layer on top of your circle. Increase or decrease the size of the design to fit your circle. Once you have your design in place you will delete your circle and cut your design. It is that easy!
