A seasonal stag deer 'book nook' shadow box paper cut template. This shadow box is designed to have micro LED lights at the back so they shine through each of the layers to create a Christmassy atmosphere.
All of the layers can be cut in white to make this a festive paper light up box that comes into its own when it gets dark outside. Or you could cut the sky layer in dark blue and give it a different twist, so it's just the moon and stars shining. It looks great both ways.
Once complete, this shadow box will look fabulous nestled on your bookshelf in between your favourite Christmas stories!
The finished size is approximately 10” high by 4” wide by 3” deep.
The download files include templates to make the outer box, templates to create the correct size foam board spacers and the 13 shadow box layers themselves. The materials you will need to complete this project, in addition to these templates are:
- A3 (approx 12” x 16”) card for the outer box
- White and dark blue (optional) papers/card for the 13 shadow box layers
- Foam board to create the spacers
- Micro LED ‘fairy’ lights
- Glue
