Using letter size paper (PDF) lantern size is approximately 7.5 x 3.5 x 3.5 inches (widest points)

Using a Cricut cutting mat 12 x 12, cutting the default size will give you the same size above. You could make it smaller or bigger, make sure to resize the pieces accordingly. Maximizing the 12 x 12 cardstock, the biggest size can be 11.25 x 5 x 5 inches (you would need 3 sheets 12 x 12 cardstock)
