3D Layered Snowflake SVG

Bring a little winter magic to your crafts with this original 3D layered snowflake. It is made of six separate layers. A solid base sits at the back, and each layer above has more cut away, ending in a fine lace layer at the front. When stacked with foam dots, the lower layers show through the openings and give the snowflake real depth.

Each layer shares the same outer outline, so the stack lines up perfectly. Every layer is one connected piece, with no loose parts that fall out after cutting. No bridge or cut is thinner than about 1.3 mm, so it cuts cleanly on Cricut, Silhouette (Designer Edition or higher for SVG) and other cutting machines.

Size: about 200 mm (7.9 in) across. It can be resized, but 150 mm (6 in) or larger is recommended so the front lace stays easy to cut.

Assembly tip: cut each layer from 65–80 lb cardstock in shades from dark to light. Stack them in number order with 2–3 mm foam dots between each layer.
