This wedding couple shadow box paper craft template can be used to create a beautiful 3D layered paper cut out shadow box decoration.
The shadow box features the couple standing in a forest clearing with bunting flags above in the trees and delicate flowers and foliage on the forest floor. Above the couple hover two birds carrying banner in their beaks.
This wedding couple shadow box is great as a gift for the happy couple on their wedding day or on their first anniversary which is traditionally celebrated with a paper gift.
The included files provide at least 9 different shadow box options as two of the layers have 3 options each. For the couple layer you have the option of a bride and bride, a groom and groom or a bride and groom.
For the birds and banner layer you have the choice of the wording; ‘Wedding Day’, ‘Anniversary’, or you can add your own wording in your cutting software.
Please note that no font is included with these files. If you wish to use the same font as I have used for your own wording on the blank banner you will need to purchase the font ‘Papercute’ which can be found here: https://designbundles.net/sctype/771-papercute
Of course you can use your own stencil-style font instead (or draw on the templates by hand if you are using the handcutting templates).
Instructions on how to assemble the paper layers in to a shadow box are included in the download.
The materials you will need to complete this project, in addition to this wedding couple shadow box templatee, are:
- A square shadow box frame
- Paper/card for the shadow box layers
- Foam board or corrugated card to create the spacers
- Glue
There are files that can be used with a cutting machine such as a Cricut or Silhouette or you can download and print the handcutting files and cut with a craft knife/scalpel.
There are handcutting templates (PDF) to create an 8” x 8” version or a 9” x 9” version of the shadow box.
All the machine cutting files (SVG, DXF, EPS) can be resized in your cutting software if needed.
*Please note the SVG files will only work in the desktop version of CanvasWorkspace (Scan N Cut software), they will not work in the web/online version as it has more limited capabilities than the desktop version.
As there are so many options with this template, I have saved a zipped folder for each of the file types rather than put them all in one as it would get confusing. E.g. If you only intend to use the SVG version, you only need download ‘WeddingShadowBoxSVGfiles.zip’.
