This slim A5 box template comes in an SVG format only.
(PLEASE NOTE: this listing is for a box template ONLY, you will not receive files for the pop up card in the photo, this is purely for illustrative purposes- file for the card can be purchased separately).
Once the SVG file has been uploaded to your cutting software it will be sized to fit a A5 sized card (approx 15cm x 21cm)
You can resize the SVG to fit other sized square cards, the best way to do this is to create a rectangle shape the size of the card you’re going to put into it and manually resize both the lid and base together (so they stay in proportion with each other.
Next, you will need to make some basic changes, as an SVG file is also known as a ‘cut file’, and therefore changes all the layers to ‘cut’.
You will need to change the inner lines to ‘score’.
To do this, simply click the inner lines and change from ‘basic cut’ to ‘score’.
Then highlight both layers and click attach.
You will need to do this for both the lid and the base separately.
I recommend a heavy card is used for the box (250gsm+) so it keeps nice and sturdy.
I’ve test cut on a cricut cutting machine using 250gsm patterned cardstock and cut on heavy cardstock at default pressure and used the scoring stylus for the score lines.
This template was cut to fit a A5 card and fits a standard 12x12inch cutting mat.
Once cut, fold along the score lines and you will see where you will need to glue the tabs to fit inside the folded sides.
Make sure you line them up nice and square to the corners so you have a nicely square card box.
You will now have a lid and a base for your card to sit in.
The ‘thickness’ of the box is approx 2cm, enough room for pop up flower cards to sit in without getting flattened.
