How to Convert Text to Path in Affinity Designer

Converting text to path in Affinity Designer takes only a few steps.

In this tutorial we will learn how to turn text into a path. We will use the Lemilove Font from Font Bundles.

Step 1: Type your text

Create a New Document and use the Artistic Text Tool to type your text.

Choose your font and size it appropriately.

Step 2: Convert text to curves

Select your text and go to Layers > Convert to Curves or click the button on the top menu turn it into paths.

You can see the separate letters if you click on the small arrow on the left side of the group layer to show its contents.

Now you can select individual letters and move them and/or change their shape.

A great thing about Affinity Designer is the ability toungroup (Shift + Command/control + G)the text by going to Layer > Ungroup or click the button on the top menu.

You can also use the Node Tool (A) to select individual nodes to manipulate the letter's shape/size.
