Let’s begin our drawing lesson by creating the shape of our egg first. In this step, select a sketching or light-colored drawing medium. Start by drawing a large circle for the bottom shape of your Easter egg sketch.
Above the circle, draw a curved line from one side to the other. As you get closer to the top, give your curve a slightly pointed tip to create the top of your egg.
For the second step, sketch any design you want on your Easter egg. Get creative and draw any design you like, such as florals or patterns, or draw a bunny with a cute or quirky saying.
Did you know that Font Bundles, a sister site of Design Bundles, has tons of FREE fonts to use in your craft projects?
Make your sketch lines permanent by using a defined medium, such as a pen or black marker. Start tracing the outer sketch line of your egg shape first. Then, outline the design you created inside the egg.
Clean up your drawing by removing any remaining rough sketches once you are done with tracing.
You have reached the last step in our Easter drawing exercise. With a coloring medium, apply any color you would like to your Easter egg drawing. This can be a combination of rainbow colors, themed color palettes, or monochromatic designs using black and white.
There you go, your Easter egg drawing is ready to be added to your next craft or project. Take your drawing to the next level with intricate line art and make a mandala in DesignScape.
