How to Import a Font to DesignScape

Learn how to import fonts to DesignScape in 2 quick steps.

To locate DesignScape, head to the Plus Hub and click the DesignScape button.

How to Import a Font to DesignScape 8

To begin, we need to create a new project in DesignScape.

Step 1 - Locate the Type Tool

In order to import a font to DesignScape, we need to use the Type Tool. For this tutorial we will use a pretty script font called Butterfly Script, but we have tons of fancy script fonts to choose from.

Once you have created a new project, click on the Type Tool on the left side toolbar.

Step 2 - Upload your Font

Now, let us show you just how quick and easy it is to import a font. At the top left toolbar, click on the Font name drop down menu.Then click on Load Font.

In the window that appears, go to where your purchased font is stored. You can also upload from your fonts folder on your system.

When you click Open, a DesignScape warning window will pop up. It will ask if you want the same font loaded the next time you use DesignScape. Click Ok to accept and your font will be loaded.

Step 3 - Use the Imported Font

Now that your font has been loaded you are ready to use it in your design. Once again click on the Type Tool, then on the Font name menu above. You will see your font displayed under the fonts available.

Click anywhere on the canvas and start typing your text.
