We will be using this beach holiday photo and will be applying a preloaded font from Pixascape to our text.
Step 1 - Add Text to the Image
First, let’s begin by uploading our image to Pixascape. On the left side toolbar, click on the Text Tool icon (letter “T”) to open the text editing options. Next, click on the Add Text button. A text box will automatically be added to the image.
As the description says, double click to edit the text and start typing. You can also create a double line of text by pressing Enter.
Step 2 - Edit the Text for the Image
Pixascape comes preloaded with a variety of fonts to choose from.
Change the Font
Once you have added and typed out your text, click on the Font drop down menu and select a font. We chose Lemonada.
Adjust Size and Color of Text
The size, color of text, alignment and text emphasis can be changed here. We adjusted our size then clicked on the color box and adjusted the color. To close out of the Color Picker box, click on the “X”.
Edit Text Spacing
The space out the text between characters and lines, adjust the Letter Spacing and Line Height. The Opacity of the text can also be adjusted here.
Add a Background to Text
You can easily add a background to the text and change the color.
Full Background adds a background to the entire text. The color can be changed by clicking on the Color Picker box. Padding adds further clearance around the text.
Line Background adds a background per line of text.
Word Background adds a background to the individual words.
Create an Outline for the Text
You are able to add an outline to your text, change the color and width.
Add a Shadow to the Text
With the Shadow option, this will be applied to the text or the background of the text. So keep in mind that if you have a background added, then the shadow will be applied to it. Here you can adjust the Color, Blur, Intensity, Vertical and Horizontal positions. For this example, we removed the background and added a shadow to the text.
Edit the Layer Properties
In the Layer Properties panel you can further adjust alignment. If you have more than one layer of text, you can also change the order. The text can be flipped horizontally and vertically as well as the Opacity decreased.
The text can be duplicated and if you are not happy with it, hit the Delete button.
The Layer Properties can also be accessed by clicking the icon bottom right of the screen.
If you want to, you can add further adjustments like photo filters or add a frame. For the frame option, you can also add some text but you will be limited in the options.
Step 3 - Save your Editing
When you are done editing, you will want to save your work. Go to the top of the screen and click on Save > My Computer.
In the Save Image options, name your file, choose a format and quality then click Save.
Now you can share it with friends and family or add it to a card. Pixascape is a great photo editing tool with plenty of features to make your images stand out. You can even add a cartoon effect or a snow overlay to create a unique image you can share with everyone.
