How to Crop in AI

Ensure that your file has been downloaded and unzipped to use.
1- Open your image in Ai.

2- Select your image and then select the Mask icon in the top toolbar.

3- Scale the image to fit your screen by moving the little square points and holding down the Z key.
Next select the shape tool.

4- Draw the shape to crop over your image.

5- Select both the shape and the image you are wanting to crop.

6- Select object icon in the top tool bar and then in the drop down box select 'Clipping Mask' , and then 'Make'. this will now crop your image.
