If you’re curious about how to curve text in Cricut Design Space, this tutorial is for you! Create a curved text to add impact to your designs or make your brand stand out. You can now quickly curve words on Cricut Design Space using the text tool. In today's tutorial, we’ll walk you through the easy-to-follow steps.
To start, you will need to download and install the font you’ll be using. We’ll be using the fun sans serif font called Hen House from the Plus Hub.

Click the Text icon in the left toolbar and type your text. If needed, you can change the font, style, size, and spacing in the panel above the canvas. We’ll be using the fun sans serif font called Hen House from Design Bundles. Learn more about using text in Cricut Design Space and how to find your system fonts.
With the text proportions locked, click + drag the icon with two opposite-facing arrows to adjust the size of the text.
Note: you can also change the font size in the toolbar above.
The Curve tool only works on single lines. If you have multiple lines like our example below, select your text and click on More > Advanced > Ungroup to Lines.
Select the text and click on More > Curve in the toolbar above the canvas.
Use the slider to curve the text by setting the diameter. Sliding to the right will curve the text downward, while sliding to the left will curve the text upward.
Note: the text will remain editable after using the Curve tool as long as it’s not welded or flattened. So keep this in mind when working with your text project.
Once you’re happy with your text, you can click the Make It button in the top right corner to send it to the machine.
You’ll see what your cut will look like on the Preview screen. You can change the material size and mirror your image if needed on this screen. When you're ready, click the Continue button and follow the prompts to cut out your curved text.
