How to Print then Cut in Cricut Design Space Mobile App

Learn how to easily use the Print then Cut Feature in Cricut Design Space Mobile App.

In this tutorial we will learn how to use the print and cut feature in Cricut Design Space app. This is one feature that can be used in a wide range of projects, from making stickers to beautiful greeting cards.

To demonstrate this process I'll be using a cute unicorn clipart from Design Bundles. Begin by opening the Cricut Design Space app and create a new project.

Step 1 - Upload Image

We will upload our image by selecting the Upload button on the bottom toolbar. A box will appear and you will have a few choices on where to find your file. Today I’ll be using Browse files to locate my unicorn design. After locating the file simply click on it and you will be directed to the Clean Up page.

On this page you are able to clean up your design using the tools on the bottom of your screen. These tools are Remove, Erase, Crop, Undo and Redo.

The Remove tool will delete the selected area as a whole. The Erase tool will only erase the spots that you click on. The Crop tool crops the selected area. To use these tools, click on the tool and then select the area on the image you would like to remove. You also have arrows to the left and right to Undo or Redo your last step.

Thankfully, I don't have to make any changes to the unicorn design. So I will just click Next on the upper right-hand corner.

Click Next-Design Space

Click Next once again on the Refine page since we will be using this design as a print then cut.

Now on the Prepare to Upload page click the Print Then Cut image. Name your uploaded design and click the Save button on the upper right-hand corner.

After you upload the image you can now insert it into the canvas page. Here you will be able to resize and start creating with your new clipart. Please note that Print Then Cut projects can not exceed 6.75” by 9.25”.If you need to resize your image, select the image and use the circle on the lower right side to drag in or out. Once done with the design click the Make It button on the lower right corner of the canvas screen.
